112 Day is celebrated on 11 February every year, focusing on Everyday Heroes. Over the years, celebration of the Everyday Hero has become the most notable and visible safety partnership campaign in Finland. This year, a national Everyday Hero of the Year was nominated for the first time.

Aapo Huttunen was nominated Everyday Hero of the Year 2012
The 112 Day national working group presented the Everyday Hero award to Aapo Huttunen at a ceremony at the Ministry of the Interior at the end of January.
